Tammy’s passion for dentistry began at an early age and defines her enthusiasm for the field to this day. She is the driving force behind Essential Teamology.

Graduating at the top of her class in 1984, she has assisted in all areas of dental work and oral surgery. She also developed essential administrative and clinical skills including treatment presentation, insurance billing, and schedule filling.

She spent 10 years with Practice Leadership helping to define unique strategies for creating office enrichment for patients, and establishing effective team structures in the office setting. In 2010, she began her dental assisting teaching career, helping to establish the Dental Assisting program at Charter College in Vancouver, WA, where she managed student externships, offered career counseling and assisted with graduate job placement. She also assisted the college achieve its accreditation for the program.

In 2011, Tammy helped to manage the dental component of Compassion Connect and its community outreach to low-income residents in need of oral care. She currently coordinates two major Phoenix-area community outreach events each year: Compassion Queen Creek and Hope Fest Phoenix.
